CHARACTERS!
What kind of characters are allowed here?
For the most part, any fairytale character you can imagine. Whether it be from the Brothers Grimm, Disney, or an old fable, legend, or nursery rhyme, odds are, they're welcome here. Don't hesitate to ask. The only thing we staunchly do not allow, are Pixar characters.
I want to apply as a character that is an animal in their fairytale. How does this work?
Since this is a site about fairy tales personified, you CAN play a character who is an animal in their source material, but they must be human/humanoid for the purposes of this site.
You said human/humanoid. What does that mean?
It means that we don't limit characters to being strictly human, though they must at the very least LOOK human. That means if your character is a genie, or fairy, or witch in their source material, they are still welcome to be that race, so long as they have a normal, 'human' body. For example, if I was going to create Jafar from Aladin, he could still be a genie...but he would have to have a face claim just like everyone else.
Do I have to follow the character's backstory exactly?
No! That's half the fun of sites like this! This is all about your personal re-imagination of the characters. That being said, they still MUST resemble the original character to the point that they're at least somewhat recognizable.
